Tammy Winner, Ph.D.
Professor of English. Student Advocate. Technical Writer. Volunteer. Rescue Mom. Aunt, Great Aunt and God Mom.

greetings!
As a coal miner's daughter from Frostburg, MD, my love for teaching and volunteering has taken me far from home.
I am a Professor of English, a technical writer, and a volunteer grant writer. I'd like to collaborate with you to bring my students more opportunities to work with real world projects as professional writing interns! My students intern for NASA, Sony Nashville, IFDC, and many other great companies. Call me if you have an idea for an internship!
I am also the Program Coordinator for the MA in Writing at UNA. You can earn your Masters Degree 100% online in Writing and focus on one of our three tracks: Creative Writing, Rhetoric and Composition, or Technical Writing! Contact me for more details.

FAVORITE Teaching QUOTE
"Our deepest calling is to grow into our own authentic self-hood, whether or not it conforms to some image of who we ought to be. As we do so, we will not only find the joy that every human being seeks — we will also find our path of authentic service in the world."
-Parker J. Palmer
From connecting my students with top notch professional writing internships to volunteering as a grant writer for Every Child Counts in Abaco, Bahamas, be sure to check out my projects.
